All My Desktop Folders Disappeared... BUT ...!

This'll teach me to eat and drink around my computer.

I spilled a couple of drops of drink on my keyboard, so I went to clean it.  And then...

I looked at my desktop and all the folders had disappeared!  The background picture was there but everything else was gone.  And I could go from screen to screen and see the folders briefly appear... but then vanish again.

I was SO STRESSED!  And this just after I had an emergency root canal done yesterday.  Sigh...

But I have the solution - and I feel so silly that I didn't realize this and had to call the tech desk at Apple to bail me out.

All I had to do was force quit the Finder and relaunch it.

EVERYTHING IS BACK!  Yay!

(So I'm just putting this here in case I forget how to do this - which I will - when it happens again.)

And to celebrate... here is a little banner for you to download and use.
(If you use it could you please provide credit back to me as per my Terms of Use?)

HI!

Just popping by to say HI!  And ... yes, I'm still alive.

I just don't seem to get here much.  But I'm working hard at drawing and family things, and such.

Have a lovely day and maybe a wee bit of an adventure.

Now... if I can just work out how to add a signature line... hmmm...

And I need to add some sort of line thing around the writing... and maybe change the background...  so much to do and so little time...

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Adding in the ¢ sign on a Mac

Okay, just so that I remember this...

Adding in a "Cents" ¢ sign in Powerpoint on a Mac.... it's easy if you know how.

Just hold down the "ALT" key (labeled "alt option"  to the left of the command key) and then press the number 4 key.

It makes no ¢¢¢ to me, but that's how it's done. ;)

Heart Paper and Heart Gift Tags

Well hi there!

I just put a couple of items up on my TpT store.
This HUGE pack includes rectangular paper with brightly colored hearts and matching, vibrantly-colored large hearts in 2 styles - regular hearts and puzzle hearts.

The puzzle hearts are fun - you can cut them apart to make... puzzles! I'm thinking that you could put math problems on one side and the solutions on the other, or match the rhyming words... or spelling patterns... so many possibilities!

And then, while I was making things, I made matching heart tags/cards.  These are FREE ( my favorite price)!

And... Heart Frames! These all come together in one pack.  I've been a busy girl!

And with that said... have a fun day!

I added a new Hedgehog background!

Well, I just added a new blog background... after working on my little hedgehogs all day.
So I have hedgehogs sleeping, hedgehogs wondering, and even a little guy with a balloon.  Maybe a few too many, ya think?

Somehow the background came out grayish - even though it's white on my computer.   Ha!  Just by accident I figured out how to solve that problem.  Upload a PDF file with a  clear background.  Then it comes out white!  I thought I should write it down so that, when I forget how I did it, I can check back here.  :)

Oh!  And this background was inspired by the incredible blog of Mo Manning.  So even though we've never met... thank you Mo for your incredible inspiration!

Rainbow borders and Free Christmas Trees

I just posted a new set up on TpT - rainbow borders. I think they look really cute.
You can get them here =>  Rainbow Tile Borders.

 And... => Rainbow Oval Borders

And then we have Rainbow-colored Christmas trees - notice a theme going on here? This pack is free to my followers.  All my clipart is color-coordinated so that everything matches!  Yay!

Hope you enjoy it and have a lovely holiday season.

Halloween Math - Find the Sum and Color the pictures

So here is an item that I've been working on and just published in my TpT shop.

Halloween Math Basic Addition to 20
I drew the pictures and then popped in some basic addition facts from 10 to 20.  A fun little activity for centers, homework, Daily 5, center work and so much more.  Enjoy!
